Softball is one of the confirmed sports that will be held at the 2nd AsiaPacific Outgames.

Host Club	The Competition will be hosted by the Amazon Softball Club, Wellington's very own lesbian softball club.
Venue	The event will be held at the Hataitai Ball Park, the home of Wellington Softball. The park is easily accessible by public transport and has car parking, changing rooms and toilet facilities. Hataitai Park is also the venue for the Netball competition. View Larger Map
Competition	Softball will include: women's fast-pitched softball men's fast-pitched softball mixed fast-pitched softball The tournament will be played over 3 days. Individual players who want to play can register and we will endeavour to place you in a team however we cannot guaranteed you a game. Minimum age for registration is 18 years of age.
Competition Format	The competition will be played to the New Zealand Softball Association rules. The format of the competition will be pools and round robin with minimum number of games determined by number of entries and subsequent draw format. The duration of each game is one hour. Each team is required to provide an umpire. Teams compete for medals based on their ranking from the preliminary round.
