Newsletter / February 2011

Hi and Kia ora!

Welcome to the February newsletter of the 2nd AsiaPacific Outgames.

No late fees

If you haven’t signed up yet, here’s good news: there are no late fees. Because registrations have been so strong (over 1200 people from 21 countries so far!) we don’t need to lift registration fees. But you’ll need to act quickly, because registrations close onFebruary 26.

Four parties on sale now

Tickets for opening night party Sweatbox (March 12) are now on general sale.

Tickets for 3 parties are now on sale exclusively to registered participants/supporters:  URGE Black (men’s party, March 18), Meow!(women’s party, March 18), and Revolution (closing night party, March 19). These can all be bought through the online registration system. They go on general sale after February 21.

Outgames tours

You can book a place now on one of our Outgames tours. They run from just half an hour to a full day, and there is a wide choice, from fabulous country gardens to sexy city art, live kiwis in the bush to a glimpse into Wellington’s GLBTI history. Spaces are limited.

You can also book now for many of the great shows that are taking place during the Outgames, from the opening night spectacle Queen of the Whole Universe to drama, comedy, dance and music.

Outgames Quiz Nights

Our last quiz series is on at S&M’s Cocktail Lounge & Bar on Cuba Street in Wellington, Thursdays from 7pm.  No team, no problem – just join one on the night!  All the details are on our Facebook page.

Our home hosting programme is up and running. If you are a Wellingtonian with a spare bedroom, you can sign up to host a visitor. If you are coming to Wellington and would like to be hosted, you can also sign up from our website. And while some of our great hotel deals are sold out, there are still a few discounted rooms available.

Join us

If you haven’t already registered, time is running out! Register now and join people from 21 countries for an unforgettable 8 days.

Best wishes,

David and Virginia
