Wellington has magnificent scenery, great opportunities for outdoor recreation, and two top wine-producing areas close by. Exclusive Outgames day and evening trips will show you the best of the region.

Stunning gardens and fabulous wine will be the theme for The Outgames Garden Tour in the sun-baked Wairarapa valley. At Richmond Gardens, one of New Zealand's most impressive formal country gardens, we'll be guided by owner and creator Melanie Greenwood. At Assisi Gardens we'll find a complete contrast with areas of informal, New Zealand native plantings on a hillside.

From here we go to a local winery to enjoy a wine tasting and lunch, and then we'll be guided around a smaller garden in the tiny wine village of Martinborough by its designer, Hamish Moorhead. We'll catch the train for a comfortable late afternoon return to Wellington.
